Housework with toddlers

Are you ready to teach your child to help out with all aspects of the house? Now is the time to take advantage of his desire to imitate you. He may do things slowly at first (but don’t be surprised if it takes at least twice as long for the domestic workers to be involved with you) but in the long run, his involvement will pay off in many ways. For one reason, he feels proud to be a part of the family’s responsibilities.

At this age, your child should be able to help you:

  • dirt
  • aquatic plants
  • Laundry piles
  • cliff catch

Just don’t expect him to work alone—because he’ll need you every step of the way.
